IWFM Qualification Programmes

In today’s complex and competitive business environment, the scope of the Facilities Management role demands a broad mix of managerial skills and specialist expertise.  Undertaking the IWFM Qualifications can support the busy manager by building a secure knowledge base which, in turn, helps build personal confidence and professionalism.  The qualification scheme covers the 10 functional areas of the IWFM Professional Standards and the 30 competences of knowledge.

The FM Tutor learning programme in facilities management provides the learners and their employers with a very comprehensive foundation in all aspects of management, with an obvious focus on best practices in facilities management. The programmes cover many of the 30 components of the IWFM Professional Standards Framework. The FM Tutor programme is designed flexibly to accommodate work commitments of the busy facilities manager, and to prepare learners for the evidence required to meet the assessment criteria of the IWFM Qualifications.  We provide a distance learning programme to suit learner's specific needs. We also provide bespoke client programmes to suit business needs, delivered on your premises.

IWFM Home Page shows more details of the Institute representing professional facilities managers.

The IWFM qualifications have been developed to suit those working or wishing to work in facilities management or related areas who are looking for a professional qualification or continuing professional development.  Designed at various levels, the programmes balance a broad range of specialist and general management areas which explore the professional content and context of Facilities Management.

The IWFM qualifications have been aligned, where appropriate, with the IWFM Professional Standards Framework and National Occupation Standards and as such provide much of the underpinning knowledge, understanding and application of good practice for a competent Facilities Manager.

We have created this Qualifications Video to explain the qualification system.
